Blackberry, plum, and cherry with lots of spice and a relatively coarse tannins.
This is a bigger, more structural interpretation of Aglianico that is super compelling, made by Yarra Valley winemaker Mac Forbes.
 
You'll love this if: you're up for something with a good amount of power, and open minded to something different. This wine toes a line of traditional, whilst getting there in non-traditional means.

Maybe skip this if: you're after something purely conventional, or would like to avoid developed, powerful fruit and tannin.
 
When to open it: Drink now. Or age up until around 2029. It's not built for further aging than that, but drinks beautifully right now.
